The GRIGRI 2 belay device with assisted braking is designed to facilitate belay maneuvers. The GRIGRI 2 works equally well for lead climbing and top roping. It may be used on all single dynamic 8.9 to 11 mm ropes on the market (ideal at 9.4 mm to 10.3 mm). Both compact and ultra-light, the GRIGRI 2 will accompany you on climbs around the world for many years. The GRIGRI 2 has a new design that allows excellent control during the descent.

• Belay technique identical to classic belay systems: both hands on the rope. A fall is stopped by tightening the hand on the free end of the rope.
• Assisted braking capability: during fall arrest, the belayer holds the free end of the rope, the cam pivots and pinches the rope, increasing the braking action until the rope stops sliding.
• The GRIGRI 2 has a new design that allows excellent control during the descent. One hand holds the rope and the other uses the handle to unlock the cam. The patented handle design allows a very gradual release of the rope. In combination with the strong braking action of the cam, it gives a great feeling of control when lowering a partner or rappelling.
• The GRIGRI 2 is compact and ultra-light at 185 g (25 % smaller and 20 % lighter than the GRIGRI)
• The construction includes a stainless steel friction plate and cam to ensure a long life for the product

Cordelina este facuta din fibre PA si trebuie folosita doar pentru tensiune statica.Cordelina nu absoarbe niciodata energia dinamica (de ex. in cazul unei caderi). Cordelina nu trebuie folosita drept coarda pentru alpinism. Daca o cordelina ingheata, proprietatile de rezistenta sunt considerabil reduse. O reducere similara a proprietatilor apare in cazul in care cordelina este uda.Cordelina nu trebuie trecuta peste margini ascutite si nici nu trebuie sa se calce pe ea.

La cumpararea cordelinei trebuie avuta in vedere indeplinirea proprietatilor necesare. A se evita accesoriile cu margini ascutite.

Cordelina nu trebuie depozitata aproape de surse de caldura (distanta de cel putin 1m) sau direct in lumina soarelui. Umiditatea si temperatura recomandate trebuie sa fie de 60% si respectiv 25 gade Celsius. Cordelina nu trebuie sa intre in contact cu substante chimice. In cazul in care acest lucru se intampla trebuie sa renuntati sa mai folositi acea cordelina.

Cordelina contaminata sau murdara poate fi spalata in apa calduta cu foarte putin detergent neutru. Dupa aceea trebuie clatita bine si uscata departe de surse de caldura sau de lumina directa a soarelui.

Cordelina trebuie scoasa din uz imediat daca mantaua este deteliorata si toroanele devin vizibile. Durata de folosire a cordelinei este specifica fiecareia, depinzand de conditia mantalei si gradul de contaminare.

Finally its ready. The Banshee has an excellent comfortable fit but don't let the comfort fool you as she will perform well too. Slightly narrow in the heel, a higher arch and narrower toe box make this "the shoe" to get. Self-braking belay device and descender

For work positioning on inclined surfaces and for switching between short ascents and descents on a rope.

* Simple to use:
o control the rope running through the device by varying the grip on the free end of the rope,
o use the handle to unlock the rope,
o self-braking system: if the handle is released during descent, the cam rotates to pinch the rope and brake the user's descent.
o ascending the rope is possible without changing the position of the device: simply add a footloop and a handled rope clamp / grab.
* Allows for belaying a leader or second. If a fall occurs, device facilitates braking.

GRIGRI and GRIGRI2

Both GRIGRI are compatible with single dynamic ropes (CE EN 892). Only the approved rope diameters differ. WARNING, even if you use a rope in the approved diameter range, you must be vigilant concerning the functioning of the GRIGRI with this rope.

The compatibility between the GRIGRI and the rope used is dependent on more than just the rope’s diameter. The rope’s texture, sheath treatments on new ropes, moisture, the state of wear, and ice play an important role in the performance of your GRIGRI, in belaying, and also in descending.

Whenever you need to use a rope other than your usual rope, take care and familiarize yourself with its behavior with the GRIGRI in belaying and descending.
